Description
Description
New Level of Noise Reduction
With the NEO 2T Smart, Tacx has created something previously considered impossible: a completely silent bike trainer. By redesigning the internal components, Tacx was able to drastically reduce the noise level. Noise from internal air movements and vibrations observed at low cadance have now also been brought to a minimum.
Improved Ride Feel
The Tacx Neo 2T Smart’s new engine greatly improves ride feel. The developers at Tacx have improved the Neo 2T's engine power, so that it offers higher resistance levels under specific conditions; during a sprint or during a climb at low speed. This very powerful resistance unit can simulate gradients up to 25% and sprints up to 2200 watts.
Pedal Stroke Analysis
Pedal stroke analysis can now be viewed using third-party apps that have standard ANT+ bike dynamics. This allows you to optimise the power distribution between left and right and improve your cycling performance using the software of your choice. The Isokinetic and Isotonic training mode also help you to improve your pedal stroke.
Improved Axle Compatibility
Tacx has made sure that the Neo 2T T2875 is compatible with nearly every type of road or mountain bike, straight from the box. Adapters for Quick Releases, 142x12mm and 148x12mm drive shafts are standard included. Adapters for 135x10mm and 135x12mm axle sizes are available separately.
Technology
Road FeelThe Neo 2T still has the most popular features of the Neo 2, such as the Road Feel riding feature which gives you that vibrating feeling of riding on cobblestones, gravel and many other surfaces (available in Tacx Films and Zwift). The downhill simulation gives you that realistic feeling of getting a bit of tailwind when accelerating downhill. Compared to its predecessor, this Road Feel experience is even stronger with the new Tacx Neo 2T engine.
Maintenance Free
This completely maintenance-free bicycle trainer has been developed to make your indoor training sessions as smooth as possible. It requires no maintenance and no adjustments for you to begin training with the Neo 2T Smart T2875. Moreover, it is the only trainer that does not require a calibration process, because unlike other trainers, there are no internal transmissions. This is why the Neo 2T is able to measure your power with incredible precision, making your data reliable within 1% accuracy. All these features were created to make sure you can fully concentrate on training.
Interactive
This fully interactive smart trainer measures your speed, cadence and strength and can be controlled with the app of your choice. The Neo 2T connects wirelessly to your PC, AppleTV, smartphone or tablet via the ANT+ (FE-C) and/or Bluetooth (FTMS) protocols. You'll be able to start training with apps such as Tacx, Zwift or TrainerRoad in no time! Upgrading to the latest firmware is easy with the Tacx Utility app. So, you can always benefit from the latest improvements and features.
Stand alone
With the smart electronics of the Neo 2T Smart you can also use the trainer stand-alone without an external power source. While pedalling, you generate the needed energy for the Tacx Neo 2T Smart! As long as you keep pedaling, the trainer will continue to connect to your PC, smartphone or tablet. You can train anywhere and at any time of the day. If you do connect the Tacx Neo 2T Smart to a power source, you will be able to use the descent simulation feature.

Frequently asked questions
Will my bike with disc brakes fit this Tacx Turbo Trainer?Yes, disc brakes are no problem. However, it is important that the axle fits correctly. The trainer comes standard with adapters for 142x12mm and 148x12mm thru axle. These adapters are used in combination with your bike's axle.
What cassette do I need for my trainer?
For smooth gear shifting, you will need the same type of cassette as your bike. To determine which cassette will fit your trainer, find the brand of the cassette and the number of teeth. Does your bike have a Shimano or SRAM cassette? Does it have 8 to 11 sprockets? Then your cassette will fit this trainer. Depending on the cassette, you may need to place a number of spacers on the body. Do you have a SRAM 12 speed drivetrain? Then you first need to install this SRAM XD/XD-R body. Do you have a 12 speed Shimano cassette? Then you need to install this Micro-Spline Body first.
Can I use my Campagnolo equipped bike with this trainer?
Yes, you can with 9-12 speed groupsets. However, you will need to replace the default body with this Campagnolo body first.
What tools do I need to install a cassette on my Tacx?
To install your cassette, you will need a chain whip and a cassette remover. These tools can be found here.
